Work Continues on Chapel
January 29, 2009
It is exciting to see the progress that is continually happening on the chapel project at Park River Bible Camp. More things have happened since the last update. As this is being written, the building is almost completely enclosed. That means most of the new doors and windows have been installed.
Have you ever shingled in the winter? Construction workers have done that here.
The new part has been shingled now as well as much of theold building.
Recently the top of the bell tower was attached. The old base had to be demolished because of some rotten wood, but we were fortunate to be able to preserve the distinct looking top portion. A new look to the building is the attachment of a log entry way to the southwest edge of the office wing.
Things are starting to take shape on the inside too. Electrical work, insulation, framing, and sheetrocking have been going on.
As we see progress, we continue to be thankful for the John Paulson estate. We are also thankful for gifts that have been given to the Capital Campaign Fund and pray for God’s continued provision of gifts to finish the project.
Many volunteers have donated their time and we continue to seek volunteer help. A workday is scheduled for February 28. For information about volunteering for the scheduled workday or any other day, click here.
