High Ropes Course

Challenge Course Health History and Permission Form

Our 12 element high ropes course is a series of cables, platforms, ropes, and tires. The platforms are 24 feet above the ground. Participants are safely attached to the course at all times. High ropes offers the maximum perceived risk with low actual risk (i.e. it is a safe way to challenge yourself) through experiential learning.

Experiential Learning Is:

  • Trying things out
  • Exploring
  • Experimenting
  • Playing
  • Discovering
  • Having fun!

The Purpose

The PRBC High Ropes Course exists to provide participants with an emotionally and physically safe environment to try beyond their own expectations or preconceived limitations. In order to learn firsthand that with Christ all things are possible, participants will be challenged to do what they do not think they can do.

Who Can Benefit from Participating in the Challenge Course?

Participants of our course need to be in 7th grade or older. Groups that can benefit from participating in the challenge course include:

  • Youth groups
  • Deacon/Elder boards
  • Leadership teams
  • Ministry teams
  • Athletic teams
  • Sales teams
  • Faculties

You and your group can make arrangements to use the ropes course at PRBC simply by contacting us. PRBC would love to create a ropes course experience to help your group improve community and relationships.

The safety of group members is our main concern. All participants are instructed by experienced facilitators. All of our equipment is state-of-the-art and is checked thoroughly by the facilitators before each use. Each person is challenged to complete the course, but all that is required is a desire to try.

Project Adventure’s 20-Year Safety Study found an injury rate of 4.33 injuries per million hours of ropes course program exposure. Compare that to 4,500 injuries per million hours of soccer programs.
