Summer Staff Reference Form (pdf, 166 k; three are required)
If you believe that Jesus Christ really does make all the difference in the world, we invite you to prayerfully consider applying for summer employment at PRBC.
We offer several summer ministry positions including Counselor, VBS Counselor, Nurse, Medic, Cook, Cook's Assistant, Maintenance Assistant, Office Assistant, and Program Assistant (Feb. 15 deadline for Program Assistant). Additional responsibilities could include Lifeguard, High Ropes/Climbing Tower Facilitator, Guitar/Music Leader, or Photographer.
How to Apply
We fill positions as we find qualified individuals, so the sooner you apply, the better your chances are. Please note the application deadline for Program Assistant is February 15.
If you're interested in working at PRBC, here's a list of what you need to do:
- Complete and return the application form (pdf, 217 k).
- Complete the appropriate portion on three reference forms (pdf, 166 k) and give them to the three persons you list. Ask them to return the forms to camp at their earliest convenience. We recommend you provide a stamped and addressed envelope for them.
- Complete a personal interview with Sean Barnhart, Dan Antal, or Luke Berntson.
After receiving your application form, we will also request additional information to do background checks for the safety of our camp children. Information on completing a background check can be found at http://www.r3campingnetwork.org/BackgroundCheckInfo.
All application materials should be sent to:

To receive the signing bonus, the applicant must then return the contract within the amount of time specified in the contract.
What We Believe
Being a Christ-centered camp, we desire for our campers to have a living faith in Jesus Christ. Being Lutheran, we hold to the confessional Lutheran understandings of faith, salvation, grace, sin, the Church, and the sacraments.
Staff are not required to be Lutheran, but should be willing to minister in a Lutheran context.
Staff Expectations
As Christ's ambassadors, our staff members serve as role models and leaders for children and youth. Therefore we have high standards for the conduct of our staff.
While we realize that we all live as sinners in a fallen world, staff members are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the teachings of Scripture. Specifics are detailed in a Personnel Policy Handbook.
Staff Testimonials
"Working at Park River Bible Camp is such a blessing. Everywhere you look, you are surrounded by positive, energetic people who are overflowing with God's love! You get to witness, firsthand, God working in the lives of so many people... both campers and counselors!! I wouldn't trade this job for anything." - Sarah
"Jesus spoke to the heart of the matter in Mark 10, 'Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.'
"As Christians, we are called to service, to discipleship, and to make disciples of all nations. There are few places where all three of these aspects come together as they do at PRBC. Working here has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, and I hope to be there for years to come." - Justin
